Finally, the third theme relates to ‘implementation support’, i.e. SLM programmes, development cooperation strategies, and national institutions in all countries.
In a follow-up activity at the Eurosoil Congress in Freiburg in September 2004, IASUS developed further mechanisms to enhance policy efficiency at the international level, including the proposal to establish a ‘World Soils Council’, whose main task will be to effectively influence international policy- and decision-making.
